For decades, Americans have been manipulated and duped by the oil companies to further their own profits using the media to advance their scheme and cover ups, placing blame on everything and everyone but themselves. They know that Americans are lazy and easily manipulated and by placing the ideas across the media in advance, they just walk right in and play us like mice. The recent gas price hikes are no different.
The truth is there has been unrest in the Middle East ever since I can remember. We import a very small percentage of middle east oil. Last year was the first time in 60 years that the US was a net exporter of oil. That means that we are not, I repeat not dependent on oil imports from anywhere. We have enough refined oil in this country to take care of our needs. So why are we paying these ridiculous prices at the pump? Plain and simply put - the Oil Company and Oil Speculator Pigs.
American consumption of oil has declined yet prices still continue to rise because the world market hasn't bothered to reduce their consumption. So we end up paying the price because these "pigs" have a green light from Congress to ship our oil products overseas.
It never used to be that way. A law that required speculators of fuel to take physical delivery of the purchased fuel was changed so that those not in the business of using that fuel, such as airlines, railroads etc. could bid on the price but not be responsible for actually holding the oil or fuel they bought. This gave the "pigs" free reign to drive up the price of fuel globally. These "pigs", through their lobbyists and perks basically own a majority of congress. So don't look to congress to be of any help to level the playing field.
Isn't it strange that almost instantly when Obama vetoed the Keystone Pipeline, the media was shouting about how high gas prices are expected to rise. It was pre-planned. The "Pigs" didn't like the veto so they decided to "punish" Obama by making the American people pay higher gas prices. They created a false shortage by shutting down refineries and slowing production using lies of a lack of demand locally to shore up the web they were spinning.
The oil coming from the Keystone pipeline would not have any benefits for the American consumers at all but would have made big money for the oil "Pigs". It was to be delivered to a refinery in Texas that would then send it overseas. After the veto several of those "owned" politicians, especially those up for re-election such as Senator Lugar, started yelling about how the Keystone Pipeline veto would cost Americans around 20,000 jobs not once mentioning that the pipeline would not in any way benefit the 20 million + American consumers. A great way to create 20,000 jobs doesn't lie in the Keystone pipeline, it lies in getting rid of 20,000 illegals that are holding American jobs hostage.
The solution to this is simple. STOP THE EXPORTS and FUEL PRICES WILL GO DOWN. If we were a true democracy we would take care of our own physical and financial well being first and not worry about international free trade. Do you really think any of them worry about us?
It is time to vote these politicians out that are "owned" by the "Oil Pigs" and vote in moral and ethical individuals that will look out for the interests of the American people and not the elite few.
