Newt Gingrich's lashing retort about the question regarding his ex-wife's statements sounded more like a little boy who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar rather than a moral, competent leader. Gingrich is "appalled" it came up at the debate. Seriously?
I am appalled that there are people who are still willing to vote for him. We as a country have become so de-sensitized to immorality and lack of character in our leaders that it is pathetic and demoralizing.
Is this the kind of person we want our young people to see as a role model? Do we want the morals of a cross between Clinton and Woods as president? The last thing we need as president is an arrogant, big mouthed bigot.
No matter if it happened 10 years ago, as Ginrich claims or 10 weeks ago, it is still a sad testimony to his character.
Be sure to check out his proposed tax plan. Factcheck.org has it laid out fairly well and it does not benefit the majority of American people, in other words, the working class.
