Elmo is better than Big Bird but still...

It was bound to happen, Big Bird finally made prime time, though I am sure not like he had intended! It seem like the MSM will stop at nothing to slam Romney for anything and everything and make a big ta-do about it all.

Romney made the remark during Wednesday's debate that he might consider slashing subsidies for PBS to cut government spending. Right away Obama and the MSM seized on that remark and went hog wild. How stupid is stupid?
When you have a  $ multi- trillion debt that Obama has saddled us with, cuts have to be made somewhere. Preferably these cuts will be to minor projects that will not have a major impact on huge portions of the population. Apparently there seems to be some strange thinking that nothing should get cut period. Oh poor Big Bird!
In 2011 the federal government spent about $430 million to support the PBS, which then divided that money between PBS, NPR and various other stations and programs. The $430 million, according to the MSM is a mere .00012 percent of the federal budget. Like that is no big deal? Take that subsidy amount and another of the same percent and another and pretty soon you end up with a lot of savings.
Yet no one seems to think their pet project should be put on the chopping block. For one thing, PBS gets a big portion of their funding from the private sector and when Romney turns this economy around, which I am confident that he will do. There will be more than enough private fund coming in.
I know all the MSM played up this. I had NBC on and at the end they had this young woman with a young child remark, "that just isn't good for getting votes".

                                                   LADY GET OFF MY TV!

Personally, I like Elmo better than Big Bird!
