I have never found anything in the Bible that would lead a person to even remotely think that God and His laws are anywhere near liberal. He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19) for their immoral behavior (Sodom = sodomy, Gomorrah=gonorrhea). He caused liberal figureheads such as Solomon and David much pain and torment until they repented and changed their ways. God's laws are conservative laws. He is a loving, just and forgiving God but forgiving only after the sinner has repented and changed their ways.
I am aware that many churches these days whitewash the bible to ease the conscience of the their congregation and fill their coffers. These churches are doing tremendous harm to these souls by allowing them to believe their sugar coated version. Even Jesus did not tolerate liberal thinking. He was at odd with the Pharisees' which in today's world might be these churches that cater to the liberal mindset.
The most proximate cause of the Pharisees’ antagonism toward Jesus, however, lay in His ignoring of their hundreds of elaborate but petty rules that they had devised for interpreting the law of God. Not only did they devise these hundreds of man-made rules, but they had also elevated them to the level of Scripture, so that to break one of their rules was to violate the law of God itself. And yet these rules not only obscured the true intent of God’s law, but also, in some cases, actually violated it (see Mark 7:9–13).
In another instance, Jesus drove out the money changers from the temple.
And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. 16 And he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple. ...17
Mark 11:15–18Illegal immigration is also against God's law and those that harbor and aid these people are sinning against God. Liberal Churches stand up for illegal immigrants and encourage law breaking.
Romans 13:1-7 makes it abundantly clear that God expects us to obey the laws of the government. The only exception to this is when a law of the government forces you to disobey a command of God Acts 5:29. Illegal immigration is the breaking of a governmental law. There is nothing in Scripture that contradicts a nation having immigration laws. Clearly it is a sin against God, to illegally enter into another country.
Whether the immigration laws are too lax or too strong is not the point. The point is that the Bible is very clear that illegal immigrants are committing a crime and those that encourage these crimes are also sinning against God. It is not my intention in this post to go into detail on this issue but only to point out that this issue is also covered under God's law.
On the political landscape there are liberals in both political parties. The Democrats contribute the Pharisees as being like the Republicans, but considering the fact that the Pharisees devised hundreds of man-made rules and elevated them to level of scripture, this covers both parties whose members are liberals. Many Democrats will bring up Mark 11:15–18 as the money changers being the the Republican party. It is in fact, exactly what the Democratic party is about. They change the rules to suit themselves, 'money changers' is juts another description of a business owner.
Considering the fiasco with the Democratic platform this year and the fact that they wanted to remove God from the platform. I find it hard to believe that any Christian at all would continue to support that party. That in itself should throw up a red flag that the Democratic party is not only out of control, but is contrary to God's law.

Democrats remove 'God' from DNC platform, insert Obama's name over 100 times
How there can be 'many good liberal Christians'? Considering what the Bible teaches, you cannot be a good Christian and a liberal at the same time. Many would try to make the case that Jesus was a liberal. I beg to differ. Jesus was a rebel but NOT a liberal. He lived and taught God's conservative laws.
